200807 Aletto 075

Kinga Aletto, junior in College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources, works on a life-size clay model of the Javan blue-banded kingfisher. Her UCARE research project includes making a life size Javan Blue-banded king out of clay. The reason why this bird was chosen was because it is critically endangered and receives little to no coverage on this fact. Through learning new clay building skills, she is able to bring this bird to life in Nebraska and bring awareness to its' struggles. August 7, 2020.
