Trevor Stephens, U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a sophomore in secondary education from Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Tyler Kluthe, Marine Corp reservist and a junior construction management major from Lincoln, talk over the afternoon ruck marching the Treynor, Iowa, American Legion parking lot. Sixth annual The Things They Carry Ruck March, which began at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa, Nov. 17, and finishes at Memorial Stadium on Friday, Nov. 25. The march, which is organized by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Student Veterans and University of Iowa Veterans Association organizations, is centered on raising awareness of the epidemic of veteran suicide.
