The RFK trophy sits amongst photographs and a newspaper headline showing the outcome of their reporting. A University of Nebraska-Lincoln student journalism project focused on Whiteclay won the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Journalism grand prize Tuesday night, beating out projects by the New Yorker, National Geographic and HBO. It was the first time in the RFK Award’s 49-year history that a college entry won the grand prize. Photographed for the N150 anniversary book. March 9, 2018.
