Rwandan Students

Students lined the front of University Suites for the parade. Christ Place Church families gave the Rwandan students a vehicle parade to help celebrate the graduates and undergraduates. The church has been host families for about 25 of the 50 Rwandan students who are graduating. They also provided fall and spring event off-campus marking the beginning and ending of each school year along with rides from campus to church and back each Sunday. The group of host families had been planning a graduation party for the students until COVID-19 occurred. Because of COVID-19, the group has planned for a socially distanced “parade” of host family vehicles that circled University Suites on R Street. May 8, 2020.
