Brandi Sigmon operates her homemade cob scanner she and her husband, Benny Mote, built in the shed at her rural Pickrell home. She is producing 2D and 3D scans of more between 2000 and 3000 cobs of 200 varieties. The visual record shows the cob development according to nitrogen rates applied. She is assisted by her husband, Benny Mote, assistant professor in animal science, Sigmon is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Plant Pathology. Research continues as the work moves off campus.
