Nitish Bastola and Taisa Medina, PhD Civil Engineering students at UNL, and Baylor Bestgen, project manager with JEO Consulting Group, document the production of asphalt made with recycled plastic. Foundry Road in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Foundry Road was being paved with asphalt that contained millions of plastic bags in an effort to reduce landfill waste.
