Chemistry 109 began the new school year with a bang. Each lecture demonstrated how atoms can combine in different molecules. Hydrogen and oxygen can make water but can also combine to make an explosive gas. Students in Shuo Sun’s lecture react as his first lecture with a bang by exploding a balloon filled with a H2O2 gas using a candle taped to a long stick. First day of classes for fall semester.
