A relief portrait of Leopolt Gmelin, the 19th century chemist published one of the first major chemistry textbooks, adorns a wall on the fourth floor of Hamilton Hall. The portrait of Sheele and Gmelin were saved from UNL’s original chemistry building and now have a place of prominence again. Remodeled organic chemistry labs on Hamilton Hall’s 4th floor.
