Bob Zink holds a wren, one of many species preserved by the State Museum. Zink co-authored a paper indicating that there are twice as many bird species as previously believed. It all comes down to how to define a species, but Zink and his co-authors used molecular data as well as physical characteristics to make their classifications. December 5, 2016.
